Hello all- This is Jeremy letting those of you who check this know that my computer is dead right now. My Kernel Panic came back and now my computer won't boot up. We are debating taking it in or fixing it ourself. Either way it is an inconvenient time to die. We will try to keep you updated. Stay tuned.

Uh... yeah, you might want to update seeing as this last post is a couple weeks old. Let people know about the fun you had fixing the computer and such. When you have time, that is.

Good for you Jeremy! I hope it helps you find that dream job of yours. You are so nerdy I can't even understand most of what you write but I'm glad your pursuing your options.

Commenting on Dissection of a Dell computer:

Fun stuff. Working on a running computer = Danger. Sparks, smoke, explosions are no fun.

Hey, what does the power cord connector for that laptop look like? The Dell that Yancer passed on to us is now a 7 lb paperweight because the power cord pooped out on us and a new one is more than the laptop is worth to us. You could have it if it would be of any use to you.

When running linux on old systems, i would recommend either Xubuntu, if you want something easy and windows-like, or Puppy Linux if you'd like to learn more about how linux works.

Fun stuff.

I'm so jealous of your great fireworks show and your pictures. Jamestown had a really good one this year but I'm sure it doesn't compare to yours. Luv you, we'll have to talk soon. Mom
